Check Approved Food Items by Barcode

To determine whether a food item is approved for the BPJCC SCN Food Card Program, scan the QR code here, use the link below, or ask a participating store for its BPJCC catalog website or QR code. Scan the code on your mobile device; then, scan individual items as you shop to see whether they are SCN-approved. Participants without camera scanning capability will need to type in each bar code on the catalog app.

You can also call the BPJCC's SCN automated hotline at 718-701-7076 extension 0 or 3, then 2, and read the entire barcode or item ID number to the automated assistant. The system will search the approved food list, identify the item, and tell you which nutritional category it is approved for.

The current list on our automated phone line includes approved products with universal barcodes but not store specific product codes.

Please note that only the stores on our current list above are fully integrated and ready for use. While additional stores appear in the app, some are still completing their integration. To avoid any issues while shopping, use only the stores on the approved list provided above.
